Itineraries
Day one
Pick up from your hostel or Johannesburg Airport and travel in an airconditioned vehicle via Dullstroom or Nelspruit to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule section of Kruger Park. After a short break (swim/early sundowner at the bar) you board the open Landcruiser for a Big Five sunset drive. After dark, your guide will use a powerful spotlight to locate nocturnal animals.After the game drive, you will be transferred to Marc's Treehouse Lodge or the Cheetah Inn. Dinner in the boma aound a crackling fire will be a typical South African meal.
Day Two
You will be transferred to the Orpen Gate of Kruger where you enjoy the open Gameviewer that provides unbeatable opportunities for a total sensual wildlife experience. These 4x4 vehicles easily access all roads in Kruger. Your experienced guide will show you many animals and birds that frequet this wildlife paradise. Dinner and overnight at Marc's Treehouse Lodge or Cheetah Inn.
Day Three
Early mornng game walk accompanied by your armed ranger. You will attempt to get close to numerous animals that have made their home at Marc's, especially nyala and buffalo. After breakfast, you drive via the Blyde River Canyon on your return to Johannesburg where you arrive in the late afternoon. Airport dropoff by arrrangement.

We offer a Six day safari which includes a visit to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre and a 4 hour Open Gameviewer safari on Motlala Game Reserve.

An abbreviated itinerary is as follows
SIX DAY SAFARI
DAY ONE : Pick up from your hostel in Johannesburg or Pretoria or O R Tambo airport and drive to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule Section of Kruger. There is time for a rest in your air-conditioned chalet or a swim or a drink at the bar. Board our open Landcruiser for a 3h game drive on Balule Plains. After stopping to watch the magnificent African sunset, we use spotlights to identify nocturnal species. Dinner and overnight at Tremisana Game Lodge.
DAY TWO : Awaken before sunrise for a cuppa and rusks. We drive to a remote area where our armed ranger conducts a 4h Big Five Game Walk. Adrenalin rushes will be acute, notwithstanding the presence of your armed field guide. Return to Tremisana for Brunch. Transfer to Marc’s Camp where accommodation is reserved in a charming and fascinating treehouse. At 15h00 we board an open Gameviewer for a 3h game drive on the Motlala Reserve where we have a good chance of encountering Black and White Rhino as well as Buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Marc’s Treehouse Lodge.
DAY THREE : Full day on an open Gameviewer in Kruger Park. Your ranger will attempt to show you all of the Big Five. The area we visit has excellent visibility of open plains, home to numerous herds of zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and other antelope, that attract many lions. Elephant, buffalo and rhino are also abundant.

DAY FOUR : Morning visit to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals. You will get up close and personal to lions, leopards, cheetah and other animals that are cared for in this conservation-minded centre. After lunch at Cheetah Inn, you have the afternoon to rest or swim. At 17h00 board the open Gameviewer for a Sunset Drive on the Motlala Game Reserve.
DAY FIVE : Another full day of game viewing and bird watching in Kruger. Your guide will attempt to show you more of this truly outstanding game sanctuary. The diversity of mammals found in Kruger is unsurpassed anywhere in Africa.
DAY SIX : Early morning game walk accompanied by an armed ranger who will show you spoor and droppings of animals big and small. The walk concentrates on plants, birds and insects that are not normally appreciated from a vehicle. From time to time, dangerous animals such as Buffalo, Black Rhino and Leopard are encountered. After breakfast, we drive via the Three Rondawels of the Blyde River Canyon en route to Johannesburg where we arrive in the late afternoon. Airport drop off by arrangement.

Volunteer Safaris
On offer is a subsidised 10 day outreach program, where you will have the opportunity to assist a needy community in the Acornhoek area near Cheetah Inn. You will also have a lot of fun including adventure activities such as white water rafting and Big Five Safaris. Your trip is an exciting blend of hard work and fun activities. The beneficiary projects include three schools and a church community, all with specific needs. These projects allow volunteers of differing strengths and interests to choose the kind of work they enjoy.
Viva Safaris provides materials and tools and have skilled artisans and builders to assist in the actual operations. Our staff will ensure that you have a safe, comfortable and memorable experience.
